Synopsis

In Nazi-occupied France, Marie, a mother of two, is struggling to support her family. Her debilitated husband, Paul, can no longer work when he comes back from the war. After she helps her neighbour terminate an unwanted pregnancy, Marie decides to perform illicit abortions against money to support her struggling family, leading to dire consequences.
