Synopsis

Tam, a diligent wedding venue staffer, finds out that her husband is having an affair through a live streaming football match. Instead of confronting her partner, she decides to consult a “master” and win his heart back by the means of mystical rituals. Combining comedy, horror and social drama, Dương Diệu Linh’s enigmatic and witty debut feature continues the recurring theme of “naggy middle-aged woman” from her previous shorts through a surrealist’s lens. This spellbinding cinematic exploration of womanhood in Vietnamese society won the Grand Prize at the Venice Critics' Week.
