Synopsis

Believing that women need to find love, Shigusa is so addicted to relationships that she even asks a random boy to be her boyfriend. However, as hard as she tries throughout her adulthood, Shigusa finds herself stuck with men who are toxic, emotionally abusive and even borderline weird. The 29th Scholarship Film of Japan’s PIA Film Festival, which has been discovering talented young filmmakers for nearly three decades, Shiika Okada’s feature directorial debut is a lightly humorous and charming antithesis to contemporary rom-com cliches.
