The deterioration of humanitarian conditions has been exacerbating since the Taliban took over Afghanistan again in 2021, especially for women and girls, who are stripped of their rights to be educated, work, or participate in public affairs. Any intervention in this intricate conflict comes with a high stake. Amid this grim situation, four courageous women from the negotiating team of the Afghan’s government — Fatima Gailani, Fawzia Koofi, Habiba Sarabi, and Sharifa Zurmati carry on their onerous journey as they sit down with the Taliban to fight against the erasure of women in the country.
