Insight Pass is a viewing pass for Broadway Cinematheque (bc). Pass holder is obliged to follow its terms and conditions. If evidence of misuse or abuse of privileges is discovered, bc reserves the right to confiscate the card and terminate any membership at any time without prior warning. All membership fees will not be refunded. bc will not accept further application from this member who violated our regulations. We reserve the final and ultimate right to interpret and to make any changes on the below terms and conditions without prior notice.

Insight Pass 2024-2025 Terms & Conditions

1. Insight Pass is only offered to bcinephile member and is applicable to bc only.
2. Insight Pass shall only be used for ticket redemption and for admission of bc. In any case, Insight Pass and Insight tickets must be used by the Pass holder in person ONLY and are non-transferable.

How Does Insight Pass Apply to Screenings

1. ONE Insight ticket of each screening is available for each Pass holder.
2. Pass holder is not allowed to redeem tickets of screenings shown on the same day in different houses but start at the same time or similar show time. (e.g. Pass holder cannot get tickets for a 12:30pm screening in house 1 together with a 12:45pm screening in house 2 on the same day.)
3. Maximum TWO Insight tickets are provided for one movie in the entire run, no matter how long it is being shown and the quota is non-returnable.
4. Pass holder can only redeem tickets for three screenings shown at different time in the same day (including the ticket redeemed by the 30 bonus points).
5. Insight Pass holder is not allowed to redeem ticket after 30 minutes of the screening started (including the ticket redeemed by the 30 bonus points).
6. No matter when the ticket redemption takes place, the issue of tickets must be complied with point 3 to 7 mentioned above.
7. Insight Pass is not applicable to all 3D screenings and those screenings that are restricted by local film distributors / program organizers. Please refer to the notice at the box office for updated details. bc will not inform individual Pass holders separately and in prior manner.
8. Tickets are not exchangeable for any other show. bc will not re-issue another ticket for any lost ticket.

About the Insight Quotas

1. There are 10% of seats (i.e. 12 seats) in each screening, no matter full or not, reserved for Pass holders in first-come-first-served basis. This also applies to special film program organized by bc.
2. If the 12 Insight quotas are full but the screening has not been full on the screening day, Pass holder who cannot get the Insight ticket for that screening is offered to redeem a ticket for free with 30 bonus points. This offer is not applicable to Pass holder who has already redeemed the Insight ticket for that screening. Pass holder must redeem the ticket at box office in person. Pass holder can only redeem one ticket for each screening by such offer.
3. The 30 points ticket redemption offer is only applicable to regular & bc Sunday screenings of that day. This offer is NOT applicable to any special film program.

How to Redeem Insight Ticket

1. Please come to the box office to redeem Insight ticket. Pass holder must present the valid Pass and have it swiped for identification before issuing tickets. Ticket will not be issued if the above procedure is not completed.
2. Pass holder can redeem Insight ticket at bc box office in person or reserve ticket through online ticketing system (with a regular service charge).
3. Redemption of Insight ticket will only start from 2 days before screening (e.g. Insight Pass Holder can redeem the ticket of the screening shown on the day after tomorrow) provided that the screening schedule of the movie is available. Redemption of Insight ticket at box office and online reservation will open at 10:30am from Monday to Friday. Redemption at box office and online reservation will open at 9:30am and 10:30am respectively on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
4. Due to the limitation of ticketing system, online reservation is NOT applicable to screenings which have already been full (i.e. full house excluding those 12 reserved seats) before redemption day. AND those screenings that are restricted by local film distributors / program organizers. Ticket redemption can only be processed at the box office in this case.

General Remarks

1. Our staff has the right to request Pass holder to present their identity proof in case of suspicion.
2. Temporary Pass holder must present BOTH of their identity card and temporary Insight Pass upon ticket redemption and admission of bc.
3. Insight ticket holder must present their Insight Pass upon admission.
4. Pass holder does not have privilege on redeeming premium or preview tickets or joining promotional program.
5. Pass holder who is under the age of 18 is not allowed to view Category III films.
6. bc reserves the right to refuse the admission of any Pass holder who does not dress properly or affects other audiences when viewing.
7. If the Insight Pass or Insight ticket is lost, Pass holder must immediately notify bcinephile. Any oral notification must be confirmed in writing immediately. Pass holder will be liable to any cost due to misuse or abuse of the Pass prior to any notification about such loss is reported to bcinephile. Member is required to pay HK$100 handling charge for re-issuing an Insight card.
8. Insight Pass is subjected to suspension of any sort and of any time if bc is refrained from carrying on this program.
9. The Pass will be invalid if it is altered, seriously damaged or the photo of the pass owner cannot be identified. bc refuses any entrance without the Insight Pass.
