The feature directorial debut of Jun Li, whose Fresh Wave short film Liu Yang He won the top prize in the competition’s 11th edition, is a provocative character study that approaches the issue of gender identity with great sensitivity and humanity. On the surface, Travis is a typical middle-aged man - a small business owner, a good husband and a responsible father. But he’s also been living with a secret for many years. When an old friend from his past dies, Travis realizes that his secret can no longer be contained. In his first lead role, prolific character actor Philip Keung gives a career-changing performance as a man caught between his duties and his destiny.
