Synopsis
Yim Soon-rye transplants Igarashi Daisuke’s popular manga Little Forest about slow living and cooking to the Korean countryside. Like Mori Junichi’s 2014 Japanese adaptation, the Korean take on the foodie healing drama is shot over four seasons in the life of a young woman who returns to her hometown after failing in the city. Charmingly portrayed by The Handmaiden breakout Kim Tae-ri, heroine Hye-won picks up farming and prepares mouth-watering dishes with local ingredients that she grows and gathers. As she works the land, reconnects with childhood friends and recalls her absent mother’s recipes, she also begins to come to terms with her inner turmoil. Director
