Synopsis
“Privileged access to Hockney’s creativity” – GQ Magazine
One of today’s most influential living artists, British sensation David Hockney was a major contributor to the development of popular art in the 60s, and has been on the cutting edge of the art world for the last half century. Entering his eighties, Hockney’s driven, risk-taking and curious mind has not slowed down. He held two exhibitions, in 2012 and 2016, at the Royal Academy of Art in London, sharing with the world his fascination of the East Yorkshire landscape of his childhood and portraitures.
Director Phil Grabsky walks us through these two blockbuster exhibitions, to craft a cinematic celebration of the 21st century master.
