Synopsis

“Put on a wig and the world is different.” After transitioning late in her life, 55-year-old Evon – formerly Andy – seeks the simple comforts of human companionship on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. Experiencing harrowing degradation at the hands of Malaysian police, abandonment by her family, and the violent death of her best friend, Evon finds herself struggling against prejudice and persecution in a state of profound loneliness. When fate connects her with illegal Vietnamese workers Sophia and Kang, she learns a valuable lesson: that life is always worth fighting for when there is kindness to give.
