Caught in Time

Detective Zhong Cheng has cracked many major cases in his career. After moving from a small town to the Changpu metropolitan area, Zhong Cheng encounters “Eagle”, a gang of robbers who have committed multiple deadly heists. The gang’s name comes from their reconnaissance method: Find a high point above the target and scour as much information about the vicinity as possible. Every member of Eagle is tightly disciplined and a trained expert in their respective fields, posing a difficult challenge for the police. Eagle’s leader, Falcon Zhang, maliciously provokes the police, issuing a direct challenge to Zhong Cheng. Eagle and the police play a cat-and-mouse game that drags on for years, with every confrontation ending with Eagle slipping out of the police’s hands. With each successful heist, the pursuit becomes an increasingly urgent race against time.
