Opening Film & Short Films(15th Fresh Wave)

The opening film of this year’s Festival is Japanese director Koji FUKADA’s The Real Thing which competed in Cannes Film Festival. Tsuji unexpectedly saves the life of a mysterious young woman, Ukiyo, who looks like to be committing suicide. By then Tsuji realises he's madly and hopelessly in love with her, despite the fact that it may one day cost both his fortune and life. The film is screened together with brand new short films, Fire Room by WONG Ka-ki and She Leaves by CHU Hoi-ying. Both are past winners of Fresh Wave Award.
