Synopsis

Her niece, Ichika, suffers from parental neglect. Since she need the money, Nagisa agrees to take her in. Ichika develops a passion for ballet, and places herself in danger in order to finance her dance classes. When Nagisa realizes the talent Ichika has for dancing, she becomes determined to help her fulfill her dream of becoming a ballerina. Winner of multiple awards, including the 44th Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Picture, Midnight Swan is a powerful reminder of the importance of seeing through appearances, and of pursuing our dreams.
