Synopsis
*Asian Premiere Official Selection - Panorama at Berlinale 2021, Frameline 45 San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival
Sascha has worked for many years in the Berlin brothel “Queens”. Maria is the new girl - independent, maverick and queer. Sascha is immediately drawn to this otherness, and Maria in turn is fascinated by Sascha’s supreme ease. The attraction becomes a love that works differently than anything either has experienced before, with a promise of great happiness. But then their connection starts to tremble - because of their fear of showing each other their true selves and facing their own demons. In a world where the body is a commodity, this is an intimate love story about how two sex workers find something real and true within themselves and with each other.
