Synopsis
Built during the 1960s and 70s, Barbican Arts Centre and Estate in London is one of the most representative achievements of brutalist architecture – a cultural icon of residential development. For one month, architectural filmmakers Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine live in the Barbican Arts Centre and turn the camera on themselves as a personal video diary with the Barbican; they explore its buildings from the top floors of the towers to the underground level of the art centre, as well as interviewing the residents in their homes.
