Reuniting with his The Quiet Family star SongKang-ho, Kim Jee-woon’s second feature film is a wildly funny story of a bored banker who rediscovers spark in his life when he takes up wrestling and becomes “The Foul King”, a villain who shows no mercy in the ring. The film solidified Kim as one of the most successful filmmakers of the Korean New Wave and remains one of Song’s favourite films in his filmography.
