Three friends reunite on a vacation after years apart. Though they’re now in middle age, the romantic entanglements that snared them in their youth continue to haunt them to this day. Suddenly, the vacation takes an uncanny turn when dreams and nightmares seep into their reality. The winner of two prizes at the Locarno Film Festival – including Best Film in the Concorso Cineasti del presente competition for emerging filmmakers – Nelson Yeo’s minimalist but endlessly inventive feature debut is a compelling meditation on repressed desires and time’s effect on memories.
