That Place in Time(HKSIFF2023)

The music conductor Mario is now retired and lives in a luxurious resort in the south of England. Dealing with Alzheimer’s deseas, he is often taken with sudden memories that eventually disappear. His great fear is to loose the memory of a glorious past, but most importantly to for- get his beloved wife Amelia (Giovanna Rei) - who died years ago, and his daughter Michela (Beatrice Arnera) that Mario hopes to meet again some day in a place far from the time. In a continuous mix up between real life, flashbacks and imaginary situations the audiance watches the film through the protagonist’s eyes and his fear of the Alzheimer’s illness.
