SAND LAND (MOViE MOViE anifest 2024)

Finally made more than two decades after the original manga’s serialization, SAND LAND, created by the legendary manga artist Akira Toriyama, also well-known for his other work Dragon Ball, was adapted into a film. Set in a barren wasteland where humans and demons co-exist, the adventure follows Fiend Prince Beelzebub, Thief the demon and Sheriff Rao as they embark on a grand quest in search of the Legendary Spring. Adapting a manga that Toriyama said was drawn with his own sensibilities at the forefront, SAND LAND features imaginative and whimsical world-building that is instantly recognizable as uniquely Toriyama’s.
