The Last Metro(FCP 2024)

The scene is Paris during the German Occupation, when all entertainment had to end in time for the audience to the last metro home before curfew. The story features Catherine Deneuve in a powerful performance as Marion, a theatre manager whose husband is hiding in the theatre from the Gestapo. She tries to come to terms with the difficulties that the theatre has to operate under the restriction of the Occupation, but at what cost? A masterful film which strikes just the right chord.
