Synopsis
During the French Revolution, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette were accused of conspiring with foreign powers against the Revolution. The monarchy was abolished, and Louis XVI was sentenced to death and guillotined on January 21, 1793. Marie Antoinette was tried and executed a few months later. Less well known is the fact that they were imprisoned in the Tour du Temple for a few months while awaiting death. The film recounts the drama of this wait and the fall of the royal family. Director
