Je'vida(EUFF2025)

Iida is a reserved old woman who returns to her childhood home in Lapland with her niece after her sister's death. They are there to clear out the house before it is sold. Iida discovers a traditional Skolt Sámi headdress, which triggers a flood of memories. As a child, she was forced to change her name from Je'vida to Iida and abandon her cultural heritage due to the pressures of assimilation. Now, she grapples with her suppressed identity. By confronting her past, Iida embarks on an internal transformation, reconnecting with her lost pride and heritage.
