The Uniform

Set in 1997's Banqiao, Taiwan, the story explores the struggles and brilliance of a girl named Xiao Ai as she navigates her journey of growth. Originally accepted into her dream high school, Xiao Ai (played by Chen Yan Fei) is compelled by her mother to transfer to the night school at Taipei First Girls' High School. Sharing desks with day students during the day, she forms a deep friendship with her "desk mate," Min Min (played by Hsiang Chieh Ru).

However, feeling inferior because of her identity as a night school student, she and Min Min both develop feelings for the gifted student, Luke (played by Qiu Yi Tai).

To conceal the truth, she dons the day school uniform and pretends to be the "perfect girl" who matches Luke. The green uniform gives her confidence, but it also causes her lies to spiral out of control.

On the day of the joint entrance exam, the truth is revealed, and Xiao Ai faces a heart-wrenching trial of growth amidst the storms of friendship, love, and family. With a unique perspective from the night school at Taipei First Girls' High School, the story delicately portrays the confusion and courage of youth, guiding the audience to revisit an era where strict uniform regulations and entrance exams determined destinies, and to feel the emotional treasures that the girls uncover during their uncertain times.
